SERVICES / SOLUTIONS

SERVICES. SOLUTIONS. THE PILLARS OF HOPE.

THE 5 PILLARS

PILLAR 1

AWARENESS

Pillars of Hope‘s public outreach campaign has been working for several years to educate our communities and equip them with knowledge on this horrible crime against our children. If we educate our communities it will lead to prevention as the individuals will be equipped with the knowledge of how the traffickers coerce, manipulate, and exploit our youth.

We hold special events, speaking engagements, and trainings to equip individuals to recognize the signs of human trafficking and to the reporting of this crime.

PILLAR 2

INTERVENTION
Our intervention program consists of a street outreach program where a trained team of individuals go into known areas of street prostitution.

The team coordinates with local law enforcement, and in groups of 4-6, hand out fabric bags containing food, toiletries, food gift cards and an inspirational note. We offer them prayer and let them know we care and love them. We offer them a way out of “the life”, that when they are ready, we are ready.

PILLAR 3

RESTORATION

Our restorative program will be comprised of comprehensive, therapeutic healing, healthy relationship classes, preparation for completion of GED, financial education, as well as a variety of life skills. An individual plan will address her physical, psychological, educational, and spiritual needs that will lead to a successful transition to independent living. Job skills and work-related training to acquire gainful employment will be of particular importance.

PILLAR 4

TRANSITION

Transitioning between rescue housing (Phase 1) and transitional housing (Phase 2) is an important step in the healing process for these survivors. This is an incredible step in taking back their life and moving it towards a positive direction so they don’t go back into “the life”.

In phase 2 they are ready to leave the 18-24 month rescue program and move into career choices and positive changes to ensure their success. The focus is on career development, continuing character development, goal setting, and interview/job preparation training with our partnering agencies.

PILLAR 5

REINTEGRATION
Our entire program is based on helping to bring these former victims back into society and ultimately reach self-sufficiency. Once they have completed the program and our financial advisor, counselors, and staff feels they are ready and prepared to take the next step to living either interdependently or independently, we will assist them in finding suitable housing. They will always be a part of the Pillar Family and an ongoing relationship will be shared. Their success is our success.
